In 2000, Sachtler turned up at the NAB in Las Vegas with a revolutionary philosophy. The company's first models in the artemis range not only launched a camera stabilizing system, but were an innovative concept - completely modular and evolutionary. That made Sachtler the first manufacturer to design its basic model in such a way that further features could be added as required. With this product philosophy, the operator can invest in an artemis EFP system which can then be gradually expanded to an artemis Cine HD. This is a decisive ad-vantage, as 80% of the original equipment is still in use.
Drawn from practice, designed for practice
Five patents are now held by the Sachtler team, which has continued to develop professional systems "Made in Germany". The team believes in co-operation between Sachtler's experi-enced design team and active professionals. This philosophy of keeping close to the market means that operators benefit down to the smallest product features. Sachtler can react flexibly to market requirements and demands with its constantly up-to-date system. "Made in Germany" also means that the complete service is handled at Sachtler's head office in Germany.
Innovation and consistency
Sachtler also lives up to its pioneering role in the development of a real HD RGB and HD SDI system. The artemis EFP Pro SDI HD is still the only system on the market that can send HD SDI signals with a bandwidth of up to 3 GHz from the camera direct to the system's HD moni-tor without any further electronic components (down converters). The signal is forwarded 1:1 and the operator has full control of his image and, depending on the monitor, also of the signal's technical information. Sachtler presented the latest innovation in the artemis range at the IBC 2005: the artemis DV Pro has all the technical features and functions of the big systems.
